PT on R wing performed slowly under anesthesia. Slight stiffness present in elbow during beginning of PT but quickly loosened up allowing full range of motion in both the elbow and wrist.

Wound debridement and care perfomred under 3.5%-3% Iso at 10:45
lasting approximately 6 mins. Wound showed very healthy scabbing
and granulation, requiring very little debridement. Clorhex antiseptic
used prior to applying a small layer of silvergel to the wound.
Telfa and tegaderm were used to cover the wound before replacing
padded figure-8 wrap. Wrap was braced to the body to support
the coracoid and scapula

Anesthetized w/ Isoflurane briefly to examined wound, do PT.
Wound is closing in nicely, there is still a superficial open area below the sutures, but it is much smaller and less raw.
Did PT on carpus and elbow, carpus was a bit stiff but loosened up with mild PT.
Did only a few movements of shoulder, hoping to let it callous a bit more.
Quickly cleaned wound and applied silver gel. Continue w/ PT every 2-3 days.
Will recheck radiographs next week and consider removing wrap.
Moved out of condo w/ ramp. Continue Meloxicam, all right to d/c antibiotics. Dr Gardner

Bird is BAR, perching per Desi. Weight is up but not sure how much of that is bandage.
Anesthetized for radiographs, wound care.
Radiographs: Fractured right coracoid, displaced downwards at keel. Also suspect fracture of the head of the scapula, at the level of the joint.
The shoulder palpates a bit loose but no obvious crepitus or grinding at this point.
Brought to the surgery suite to address wound. The ventral metacarpus as an open area with exposed tendon, just above the follicles. Although there is some loose skin over the dorsal aspect of the wound, there isn't anything to anchor it to along the wing edge. Opted to place a couple of sutures on the proximal aspect of the wound, to narrow the wound, but the rest will have to heal by second intention.
Placed a piece of Duoderm over the open area and bandaged whole wing, anchoring to body due to the shoulder injuries.
P: Next bandage change in 4 days - then continue Q3-4 days or so. Will recheck wound next Friday. Change to Amoxi-clav, Enrofloxacin not warranted in this patient. Dr Gardner

Standing on ground in front of kennel. NOLO and QAR. The R wing is hanging and touching the ground. The bandage is coming off. Grabbed and palpated wings/shoulders again. There was slight crepitus on the R for a single rotation of the shoulder, but I couldn't pin point where it was. Move out to R17d.

gel, duaderm, telfa and then a figure 8 with cast padding and
a body wrap. There is a tendon exposed on the ventral side. I
think if we could free up some skin we might be able to cover
it. There is also a little edema present with some pockets of
fluids forming distally.

Mature RTHA found in yard with injured wing. On admission, bird presented very BAR, feisty. NSF other than soft tissue wounds on R wing. I wonder if bird was clipped by vehicle or potentially suffered GSW, but couldn't palpate anything broken. Scrubbed with chlorhex and flushed with saline. Applied SSD + telfa/tega bandage. For now, set up in KR2 kennel. Bird stood up, took defensive stance. Gave 1 chick.
